FIELD: experimental medicine.
SUBSTANCE: essence of the method consists in infecting cavity of middle ear of laboratory animal by introducing staphylococcus culture. Before infecting, animal receives subcutaneous introduction of 2.5% hydrocortisone acetate emulsion in dose 200 mg/100 g body weight to cause immunodeficiency and, 3 days after infecting, stable perforation of tympanic membrane is formed by way of multiple piercing and dilatation of resulting defect toward periphery.
EFFECT: improved chronic otitis media simulation.
