FIELD: heating or cooling systems.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device depending for its operation on Peltier effect has thermoelectric battery assembled of Peltier cells. Battery has two thermal-contact surfaces and at least two electric contacts. Switch is inserted in battery power conductor in series with circuit for measuring potential difference across battery electric contacts. Device also has switch control safety gear that functions to cyclically vary its position. At least one surface of thermoelectric battery can mount temperature transducer; newly introduced in device is electronic thermometer incorporating unit that compares measured temperature with desired value and is connected to temperature transducer and to switch safety gear.

EFFECT: reduced temperature setting transient time and temperature measurement error.
