FIELD: mobile communication systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for preventing deadlock situation in mobile communication system terminal makes use of timer to limit time of data block storage in reordering buffer and includes receiving data block over wireless communication line, finding out if preceding data block has been received, recording received data block in reordering buffer if preceding one has not been received, and extracting received data block from buffer when timer operating period has elapsed. Comparing transmission sequence number makes it possible to find out if preceding data block is missing. Method also includes extraction of next data blocks from buffer upon expiration of timer second operating period. Timer operating periods are assigned to prevent recycling of transmission numbers concerning buffer-stored data blocks.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of communications in mobile communication system.
