FIELD: machine engineering, manufacture of parts with highly loaded curvilinear surfaces.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preparing parts of blanks of tool alloyed steel; forming on them desired curvilinear surfaces with use of program-controlled movements of cutting tool. In order to improve quality of parts, they are prepared in the result of successively performed operations of annealing, preliminary turning, high temperature tempering, semi-finish turning and milling. Then parts are quenched till maximum hardness of material and subjected to finish turning. Desired curvilinear surfaces are formed on prepared parts with use of hard-alloy tool. Said curvilinear surfaces may be formed with use of NC milling center. In order to work steel whose hardness exceeds 65 HR spherical end milling cutter may be used.
EFFECT: improved quality of parts.
