FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises using of cutting parameters and tool geometrical parameters. To up precision of roughness determination trial cut is performed by composite multi-blade carbide tool at the part to measure thermal emf of every cutting tool tip. Mean arithmetic thermal emf of said multi-blade carbide tool is calculated. Roughness parameter Râ using the calculated mean arithmetic thermal emf, geometrical parameters of carbide tool and machined part are determined by enclosed formula.
EFFECT: higher precision of roughness determination.
