FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy; methods of the integrated extraction of nickel by the ammoniacal dissolvent and nickel reduction by hydrogen.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to nickel metallurgy and may be used for the reducing settling of nickel by hydrogen. The method of regeneration of the metallic nickel product in the process of extraction by the dissolvent includes the stages of production of the nickel ammine complex in the form of the nickel hexamine by separation of nickel from the nickel-containing organic stage by the highly-concentrated solution of ammonia and reduction of the nickel ammine complex by hydrogen with production of metallic nickel. The nickel ammine complex represents the nickel carbonate complex or nickel ammine sulfate complex. The invention ensures simplification and the cost reduction of the production process.
