FIELD: railway transport; mechanized track instruments.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hand electrified vibration-action tools for compacting of ballast and tamping of ties of tracks at maintenance and repairs. Proposed electric tie tamper contains housing with detachable end face covers, electric motor and two unbalanced weights mounted on rotor shaft symmetrically relative to one of bearings so that plane of rotation of center of masses of unbalanced weights passes through middle of said bearing. Tamping plate is secured on housing whose longitudinal axis is arranged in plane of rotation of unbalance weight center of masses. Handle is made sectional, consisting of frame, rod with possibility of longitudinal displacement and fixing by first block on frame, cross handles made for turning and fixed by second block on rod. Additional shock absorber is arranged between rod and handless. Electric switch is installed in upper part of frame. Shaft of rotor of electric motor is provided with splined cantilever installed for removing, turning and locking by block fastening second unbalanced weight in several positions corresponding to number of splines. First unbalanced weight is secured on shaft by key in seat hole of its hub. Tamping plate is connected with boss in lower part of housing by threaded joint.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of electric tie tamper owing to increased capacity and reduced fatigue of operator.
