ASYMMETRICAL SHAPES ROLLING METHOD Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B21B1/88 

FIELD: rolled stock production, possibly manufacture of rolled asymmetrical shapes, mainly for railway roads such as straps for isolation butts of rails having lateral asymmetrical slopes in heavy oval-like section.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of initial shaping of piece in box pass with trapezoidal cross section using bottom of one pass as small base of trapezium; tilting piece after said pass by 90° and then rolling it in first edging pass of trapezoidal form while using lateral face of piece as small base of trapezium and after one shaped bullhead pass rolling piece in second edging shaped pass. After first and second edging passes rolled piece is tilted arbitrarily to different sides. Shape is finally formed after second edging pass in leader pass at opening grooves horizontally and in finishing pass. Invention provides possibility for preventing different types of chips in roll grooved passes.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of rolling mill, improved operational strength of rolls.
