FIELD: computer engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device has casing enclosing chamber containing liquid, window available in the casing for supplying the stored liquid to printing jet head. The container is fastened by means of engagement parts. The first of them comes into engagement with the first locking part located in montage part available on one casing side and the second one comes into engagement with the second locking part in montage part available on the opposite casing side. Holding member is available for holding the second part coming into engagement allowing its displacement. The container also has data storage part for saving data concerning the container for storing liquid, contact member electrically connected to another contact available in the montage part, a part emitting light and reflecting part for directing the emitted light to outside of the container. The contact is disposed in corner part area having window for supplying liquid. The reflecting part is near the upper part of the container for storing liquid. One of invention embodiments has the container for storing liquid set into printing device having montage part allowing a set of containers to be introduced into and removed from the device in several positions. The printing device has electric contact members corresponding to the containers for storing liquid, photoreceptor means for receiving light and electric circuit connected to line connected to all mentioned electrical contact members. The container also has controller for controlling light emittance when information available in signal representing individual data sent through mentioned electrical contact of the container is like the information saved in mentioned means for storing data. Method involves manufacturing container and filling it with liquid.

EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in perfecting known printing systems.
