FIELD: chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology for preparing perchlorinated carbonic and chlorocarbonic acid methyl esters - triphosgene or bis-(trichloromethyl)carbonate, and diphosgene or trichloromethyl chlorocarbonate. The parent (chloro)carbonic acid methyl ester is chlorinated with gaseous chlorine at increased temperature in the presence of chemical initiating agents of radical process and in the presence of inducing agent- substance able to maintain the process of radical chlorination wherein chloroform or methylene chloride is used preferably. The chlorination process is carried out in the range of temperature 50-130°C but mainly at 65-100°C and under atmosphere pressure or excessive pressure in the range 0.05-5.0 atm. Invention provides significant simplifying technology for synthesis of diphosgene and triphosgene based on exclusion of UV-radiation sources, using standard technological equipment and reducing fire and explosive hazard of the process.
EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.
