SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fundamentally new small automatic surface-mounting devices. According to proposed method line train articles are arranged in reception zone for subsequent reception and transfer to common carrier by wetted surface of successive set of transfer elements which is made with possibility of rotation. Each transfer element is made for reciprocative displacement for receiving the articles and mounting or fixing them in corresponding positions on common carrier. Coplanar displacement of set of transfer elements orthogonally relative to common carrier is carrier out along guide and axle of external drive displaced relative to each other. Rotation of set of transfer elements is provided by axle of external drive. According to invention, in device for implementing the method, common housing is made in form of carriage with gear train coupled with toothed surface of set of transfer elements to provide rotation of said set of transfer elements installed with meshing on axle of external drive along which coplanar displacement of said set orthogonally to common carrier is effected. Carriage is coupled with longitudinal guide for displacement and with step drive.
EFFECT: improved reliability of operation of small-size automatic surface mounting devices at increase of speed parameters.
