FIELD: radio electronic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method and device can be used for building principally new small-sized surface mounting automatons. According to the method of orientating articles of different shape when transporting them, articles of line sequences are disposed in area of reception for subsequent transportation of the articles to common carrier by damped surface of transfer element sequent set which is made for rotation. Any transfer element is made for reciprocal movement to receive articles and to mount or to fix them in corresponding positions at common carrier. First toothed rope is functionally connected with turn of worm gear disposed in orthogonal to the rope and with toothed surface of transfer element set. Transfer element set is subject to controlled rotation in vertical plane by means of shift of first toothed rope being coplanar to axis of rotation of transfer element set. Controlled shift of transfer element set is performed by shifting second toothed rope which is fixed onto non-rotating part of case of transfer element set. Angle of turn of transfer element set is corrected simultaneously.
EFFECT: improved reliability of operation.
