FIELD: technology for taking water from surface sources, possible use at waters of sea and freshwater water basins.
SUBSTANCE: device for taking water from surface sources contains float, water-intake chamber rigidly connected to it, force pipeline, positioned below water edge and connected to water-intake chamber, trash rack, load anchor and cable. Water-intake chamber has aperture, which is protected from above by aforementioned rack, and spring-loaded shutter, made with possible vertical movements, for closing aforementioned aperture. Force pipeline is made in form of main section and connection of tubular sections in form of upside-down T symbol, vertical section being rigidly connected to water-receiving chamber, and horizontal one - equipped with check valves on ends - suction and force valves, and on the side of force valve is connected by flexible tubing to main section of force pipeline, and on the side of suction valve - is provided with brushing trash-screening machine.
EFFECT: simplification of construction of device, decreased costs of its operation due to use of energy of surging wave.
