FIELD: testing equipment engineering, possible use for experimentally determining heat characteristics of materials included in composition of transporting packing sets as heat isolating and cushioning elements.
SUBSTANCE: device contains heat source, means for measuring temperature on hot and cold sides of sample, heat conductivity is determined on samples of cylindrical shape with ratio of length to external diameter not less than 6:1 with axial channel. Heat source is connected to device for registration of its power output and is positioned inside the axial channel of sample. On ends of sample, washers are mounted made of thermo-isolating material with thermal resistance not less than thermal resistance of arch of cylindrical sample being researched.
EFFECT: increased trustworthiness of measurement results.
