FIELD: morphology.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining spatial position of intersecting cylindrical morphological structures by measuring angle of intersection of structures and greater and smaller diameters of other structure, said measurement being conducted in front plane of image extending in parallel with axis of one of said structures; calculating angles of intersection of structures in horizontal and sagittal planes from formulas: γ=arcsin·D1/D2; 
, where D1 is smaller diameter of structure; D2 is larger diameter of structure; γ is angle of intersection of structures in horizontal plane; β is angle of intersection of structures in sagittal plane; α is angle of intersection of structures in front plane.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of method by allowing morphological investigations to be amended.
