FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, liver surgery and magnetic resonance (MR) diagnostics in case of presence of cholangiostoma. Middle-field magnetic resonance tomography is performed in several stages: examination of abdominal cavity in accordance with standard methods on middle-field MR-scanner; retrieval of patient from device tunnel and introduction of physiological solution into collapsed bile tree through external cholangiostoma hole at rate 0.3 ml/s until sensation of filling appears, in volume 7-10 ml. After that, MR-cholangiography is performed again with orientation of images on axial tomograms perpendicularly to bile bladder position.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine maximal level of extrahepatic bile duct obstruction.
