SUBSTANCE: method involves draining Schlemm's canal with elastic flexible wire. Two methods for introducing the wire are available. The first one provides for wire introduction into operation field on one side of Schlemm's canal along its whole length with its being drawn out on the opposite side with respect to the introduction point. The other method involves introducing the wire into the Schlemm's canal first towards one side from the operation field to a depth not less than 20 mm and than the same wire is introduced, after being withdrawn, into the opposite Schlemm's canal direction relative to the operation field also to a depth not less than 20 mm.

EFFECT: increased hypotensive action; improved filtration conditions.
