FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: conjunctival and superficial flaps are formed, the middle layers of the sclera are removed in the shape of a rectangle until the inner layers of the corneoscleral part of the trabecula and the limbal edge of the decemental membrane are exposed. After cutting out the superficial flap, a median flap 1.5 mm long, starting from the corneal part, is separated with a splitting knife, then the separated part of the deep flap is tucked into the formed pocket and fixed by applying one interrupted suture with 8.0 silk thread.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to enhance the uveoscleral outflow of intraocular fluid through natural drainage pathways, which in turn preserves the long-term hypotensive effect of antiglaucomatous surgery and prevents the development of scleroscleral adhesions.
