FIELD: devices for cleaning or keeping clear the surface of open water from oil or like floating materials, particularly for rapid liquidation of accidents associated with large-scale oil spills and oil tank damage.
SUBSTANCE: method involves burning surface oil films by spraying electrified combustible agent on oil film surface and creating vertical detonation wave propagating along water surface in direction transversal to water surface. The combustible agent has detonation rate of not less than acoustic speed in water.
EFFECT: increased speed of oil spot liquidation and possibility to use common equipment to deliver necessary means to oil spot.
