METHOD FOR DETERMINING INTERVAL OF BEHIND-THE-CASING FLOW OF LIQUID IN FORCE WELL Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC E21B47/10

FIELD: mining industry, well research, possible use for determining intervals of behind-the-casing liquid flow in force well.

SUBSTANCE: method includes registration of a series of thermo-grams after finishing forcing and determining interval of behind-the-casing flow on basis of slowed temperature restoration pace. Presence of behind-the-casing flow is detected on basis of thermo-grams, registered in time interval of 10-45 minutes by comparing temperature restoration paces considering their increase and slowing down at different sections of well-formation system. Interval of behind-the-casing flow is determined from thermo-grams, registered in time interval of 240-30 minutes after stop of forcing as section with slowed temperature restoration pace or as section between intervals of absorption of forced liquid by non-perforated formations, if slowed restoration pace is detected across whole perforation zone.

EFFECT: increased precision when determining interval of behind-the-casing flow of liquid.
