FIELD: mechanical engineering; compression ignition engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed compression ignition internal combustion piston engine with divided combustion chamber consisting of overpiston combustion chamber and separated prechamber connected with overpiston combustion chamber by connecting channel is provided additionally with fixed cup, movable piston and spool-type control valve with oil supply and outlet unions which is connected with holes in additional installed fixed cup in cylinder block head by channels made in body and channel made in cylinder block head. Fixed cup and movable piston from, together, two oil spaces. Axial hole for nozzle is made in movable piston to provide axial displacement of nozzle with movable piston in direction coinciding with axis of connecting channel, prechamber and overpiston combustion chamber in extreme lower position being hermetically isolated by shutoff cone of nozzle spray tip body. Atomizing orifices of nozzle are arranged in overpiston combustion chamber to provide volumetric mixing.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of working process of internal combustion engine with compression ignition, elimination of main drawbacks of engines with divided and non-divided combustion chambers and utilizing their advantages.
