FIELD: ramjet engines at supersonic combustion.
SUBSTANCE: proposed ramjet engine includes movable member having two sides with their cavities and seal unit adjoining each side. Each seal unit is provided with bearing insert tightly fitted in said cavity and sealing member mounted on bearing insert. Seal unit has movable member and external structural member, sealing member and heat insulating devices of external structural member and supports for sealing member. Sealing member is made as cord seal in form of tadpole with core and fasteners for securing it in required position. Bearing insert is made from heat-resistant insulating material and is provided with web giving support for said cord seal.
EFFECT: enhanced resistance to high temperatures.
