FIELD: automobile electronics, possible use for generating braking signals of self-propelled devices and in automatic systems for determining braking distance in process of vehicle testing.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to method, information about vehicle movement is received in form of first order of impulses, for example, using magneto-electric sensor mounted on the shaft of vehicle speedometer. Intervals between impulses of first series are filled with impulses of second series with higher frequency. Quantity of impulses on adjacent intervals is compared, and on basis of comparison results, "braking start" signal is determined and recorded. From this moment, two counter-adders are filled with impulses of first series with division value modified to linear dimensions of route. When minimal given speed is reached, impulses of first series are forbidden from injection into first counter-adder, while injection of braking distance codes received from decelerometer is permitted. During that, subtraction of braking route values recorded in counter-adders is constantly performed. After full stop of vehicle, value of first counter-adder is displayed on indicator as value of total braking distance, and on another indicator a difference of value, recorded in counter-adders, is displayed as true value of braking distance at skidding zone.
EFFECT: expanded capabilities, invention allows to determine total value of braking distance simultaneously with braking distance value at skidding zone during tests on various roads.
