METHOD FOR PREDICTING AND CORRECTING VISUAL FUNCTIONS Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61B3/10 A61F9/00

Abstract RU 2290056 C2

FIELD: medicine, quick-test diagnostics, ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with predicting and correcting affected visual functions. It is necessary to apply light-protective glasses with incorporated light diodes connected with impulse generator in front of patient's eyes to detect refraction state of patient's vision organ, then one should supply light signals of red-green or orange-light blue or yellow-dark blue color, at simultaneous altering the distance from light-protective glasses up to patient's eyes to evaluate refraction position of patient's vision organ according to subjective perception of the sizes of circles compared in oculars of the above-mentioned glasses. Then it is important to determine intermonocular interaction in the act of binocular vision. One should supply light impulses directly onto patient's eyes and according to the observed heterogeneity at the background of steadily pulsating spectral field it is possible to detect fixed (scotomata) or floating defects in vision field. The state of accommodation reflex safety should be fulfilled at observing subjectively percepted swinging movements of light spots of different tones, brightness, intensity, projected onto retina through a perforated diaphragm introduced into the glasses at different diameters of their foramens ranged 1-5 mm and according either to the absence or weakened effect of light spots' "swinging" phenomenon one should evaluate the state of retino-pupillary and/or retino-ciliary reflex safety. By subjective perception of the shape of projected diaphragmatic foramens it is necessary to determine the localization of affected chromatic sensitivity and the state of dynamic balance of chromatic canals.

EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency.
