FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out visual analyzer functioning parameters study. Light-protective spectacles rim having built-in light-emitting diodes, is placed in front of patient eyes. The light-emitting diodes are connected to pulse oscillator emitting light pulses having wavelength of 420-670 nm are delivered to each eye at frequency not less than 2 s with frequency modulation from 0 to 100 Hz being applied. The patient observes homogenous light field inhomogeneity zones having various coloration intensities. Autocampigraphy of entoptic phenomenon seen by the patient is carried out. Next, apertures are installed into the spectacle rim. Alternating light pulses are sent with wavelength of 420-670 nm to each eye at frequency not less than 2 s with frequency modulation from 0 to 100 Hz being applied. After having finished pulse treatment, repeated visual analyzer functioning parameters study is carried out. Symmetry changes relative to functional parameters before and after treatment with light pulses.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in detecting asymmetry in retinal central zone and optic nerve abnormality phenomena.
