FIELD: mechanical engineering; load-lifting equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for use in civil engineering. Proposed tower boom crane has post mast-with guy ropes, load, lifting and slewing mechanism, movable counterweight with shifting mechanism and control unit. Movable counterweight with shifting mechanism is mounted on load-compensating boom installed parallel to load boom in opposite direction. Ends of load and load-compensating booms are connected by wire rope passed over sheave and furnished with lockwasher, with adjustable feed and tension pickup between which thrust strip is arranged.
EFFECT: improved stability of crane against overturning, reduced total weight of crane and reduced weight of load boom.
