METHOD FOR GUIDANCE OF GUIDED MISSILE AND GUIDANCE SYSTEM FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC F41G7/00

Abstract RU 2290593 C1

FIELD: development of missile control systems, applicable in antitank missile systems.

SUBSTANCE: the method of guidance of guided missile consists in take-off of guided missile, reception and focusing on a photodetector of radiation of the background-target situation with the legitimate signal source, discrimination of the co-ordinates of the legitimate signal source, discrimination of the coordinates of the guided missile and formation of the missile control commands. Formation of the missile control commands is accomplished according to the current or predicted co-ordinates of the on-board radiation source, to this end, prior to take-off of the guided missile, the sequence of the time intervals is set in conformity, processing from the condition of optimal missile control, the threshold value for comparison of the current and predicted co-ordinates of the on-board radiation source is estimated and memorized. A video frame of the background-target situation together with the on-board radiation source is formed in each time interval, the current co-ordinates of the on-board radiation source are discriminated and memorized in each video frame, the predicted co-ordinates of the on-board radiation source in the next time interval are estimated, the control commands are formed in accordance with the current co-ordinates of the on-board radiation source at their discrimination, or the predicted ones when the co-ordinates of the on-board radiation source are not discriminated. At a transition from the predicted co-ordinates to the current co-ordinates of the on-board radiation source are compared, and if the difference between them exceeds the threshold value, formation of the missile control commands is continued on the basis of the predicted co-ordinates of the on-board radiation source, and the predicted co-ordinates of the on-board radiation source up to the moment when the difference between the current and predicted co-ordinates would become smaller than the preset threshold value, after that formation of the control commands is accomplished on the basis of the current co-ordinates of the on-board radiation source. The guidance system of the guided missile, having an objective lens, radiation photodetector, co-ordinate discrimination unit and a control command formation unit, additionally uses series-connected prediction unit and a co-ordinate recording unit, whose second input is connected to the first output of the co-ordinate discrimination unit, the third input - to the second output of the radiation photodetector, and the output - to the command formation unit. The objective output is connected to the input of the radiation photodetector, whose first output is connected to the co-ordinate discrimination unit, whose second output is connected to the prediction unit.

EFFECT: enhanced quality and reliability of the process of guidance of the guided missile and, as a result, enhanced noise immunity of the whole control system, simplified construction of the control equipment.
