SUBSTANCE: method includes launching guided missile, reception of light flow from board source of radiation of guided missile by photodetector of matrix type, formation of sequence of video frames of target background environment together with board source of radiation. Besides space exposed to board source of radiation is identified, as well as coordinates of its centre, coordinates of guided missile, and control commands are generated. At the same time after launch in generated sequence of video frames, N adjacent video frames are identified with image of board source of radiation, size of board source of radiation is identified. Using current sequence of coordinates of centre of board radiation source image, trajectories of its motion or predicted coordinates of motion trajectory are identified, area of board radiation source image is formed with coordinates of centre.

EFFECT: higher quality and reliability of process of guided missile homing without change in design of the missile itself.
