CUP FOR ACETABULUM Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61F2/34 

FIELD: medicine; traumatic surgery; orthopedics.

SUBSTANCE: cup for acetabulum can be used for recovery of functions of hip joint. Cup of implant can be fixed in acetabulum by means of thread joint; in the case thread in acetabulum is cut simultaneously with introduction of cup into bone. Cup has hood with semi-spherical bottom to place head of implant, ring-shaped stop implant's head and key for screwing cup into acetabulum. Key is made in form of insertion to follow shape of cavity of hood. Fingers are disposed symmetrically at edge of insertion; there is pin provided with handle at end of pin; pin is disposed in central part. Hood has grooves at its edge for placing fingers. There is self-cutting thread at external surface at end of hood and tightly fixed screw in center outside. Threads at external surface of hood and screw differ in diameter but they have the same pitch and profile.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of treatment.
