FIELD: power engineering; high-voltage line pin insulators.
SUBSTANCE: proposed insulator has insulator body with at least one rib (skirt) and conductor sideways attachment point. Insulator body as a whole is built of silicone rubber and has blind hole for setting insulator on pin; upper level of blind hole is above conductor sideways connection point. Insulator body blind hole has no internal thread. Insulator body can be likewise made of crack-resistant thermosetting material. Ribs can be made in the form of spiroid. As compared with prior-art insulators made of solid insulating materials, proposed one has improved physical and chemical characteristics and enhanced strength.
EFFECT: reduced size and cost, enhanced reliability and service life of insulator.
