FIELD: microwave electronic devices including collectors of microwave traveling-wave tubes or klystrons.

SUBSTANCE: proposed collector has case one of whose parts is used as pre-collector, insulators, and electrodes incorporating transverse electric field producing devices disposed between electrodes and made in the form of semi-cylinders. Lengths L1 L2 of the latter are interrelated with transverse dimension d of cavity enclosed by semi-cylinders by expressions 0.1 ≤ L1/d and L2/d ≤ 0.4. There is also device for producing magnetic field oriented along collector axis. Cavities of electrodes connected to semi-cylinders have their transverse dimensions exceeding transverse dimension d. Semi-cylinders may be enclosed by cylindrical bushing.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, critical power, reliability, and service life of device.
