SUBSTANCE: proposed electrochemical cell has case with cover and perforated base for passing electrolyte that accommodates active system of layers formed by alkali metal anode and carbon cathode with porous separator in-between. Electrode block active system is made in the form of compressed structure planar-corrugated along its longitudinal axis and made of anode material; installed between its corrugations are multiple plates of cathode material held in porous separator bags; cathode is made in the form of metal grid covered with carbon layer.
EFFECT: minimized space at high discharge characteristics.
