FIELD: electrical equipment; electric power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and power engineering, namely to devices for accumulation and conversion of energy using a super-flywheel equipped with an electrical machine operating alternately in engine and generator mode. Super-flywheel energy accumulator contains a motor-generator and a super flywheel enclosed in a sealed evacuated shell. Engine-generator is high-speed synchronous machine with axial flow created by permanent magnets located on rotary disc, which is placed below the stator magnetic conductor so that significant axial magnetic force is directed upwards and partially or completely balances the weight of the super-flywheel and the rotor, thus unloading the device magnetic supports. To significantly reduce losses in the magnetic conductor, the latter is made from amorphous or nanostructured alloy, which eliminates the need to have heat exchangers with circulating cooling liquid and simplifies the design.
EFFECT: simplified design of super-flywheel energy storage, reduction of its dimensions and material consumption, reduced losses of engine-generator with simultaneous increase of its operational reliability.
