FIELD: fishery, in particular, process used in systems for controlling and counting of fishes during passage thereof to spawning sites in rivers, channels and fishery constructions.
SUBSTANCE: method involves sonicating cross section of flow by means of N discrete sources of vertical acoustic fields spaced apart from one another along said flow. Acoustic field sources are located on carriers staggered is parallel with one another in the vicinity of bottom and surface zones of flow section. Method allows control zones adjoining water surface and bottom to be sonified. Distances between vertical axes of adjacent acoustic fields are set to be exceeding half of their width at boundaries of zone under control and account.
EFFECT: increased precision and enhanced reliability in fish accounting.
