FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of N-methylene-4H-1,3,5-dithiazinyl-5(6H)-amine. Method involves interaction of formaldehyde aqueous solution saturated with hydrogen sulfide with hydrazine in buffer solution of butanol-sodium butylate (BuONa) at room temperature (20-21°C) at stirring for 3 h. Synthesized compound can be used as a potential antibacterial and antiviral preparation, extractant of precious metals, special reagent, for suppression of vital activity of bacteria in different media. Also, proposed method allows utilizing toxic hydrogen sulfide.
EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.
