FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 1,3,5-thiadiazinan-4-(thi)ones of general formula (1): , which involves reaction of hydrogen sulphide-saturated aqueous 37% formaldehyde solution with a freshly prepared mixture of (thio)-carbamide - n-BuONa (in butanol) with molar ratio of initial reactants (thio)carbamide: CH2O: H2S: n-BuONa equal to 10:20:20:40 at temperature 70-90°C and atmospheric pressure for 5-7 hours.
EFFECT: method which enables highly selective production of said 1,3,5-thiadiazinan-4-(thi)ones, which can be used as modified sorbents, extractants of noble and precious metals, as well as prospective bactericisal, fungicidal and insecticidal agents.
