FIELD: equipment for sawing of hard materials, preferably wooden materials.

SUBSTANCE: sawing apparatus has bed and sawing block mounted thereon and comprising driving and driven shafts with parallel axes of rotation and supports at their ends, support accommodating columns, at least one sawing module made in the form of at least one toothed sawing blade having teeth, slots between teeth, and rear edge, and fixed between two fastening units pivotally joined with driving and driven shafts, with pivot axis of each fastening unit being offset relative to axis of rotation of shaft associated therewith. Center of mass of each half of sawing module defined by half of sawing blade and respective fastening unit is arranged at a point spaced from pivot axis of this fastening unit by distance below four-ply offset of said axis relative to axis of rotation or respective shaft. Sawing blade is positioned so that line connecting said pivot axes and lying within blade plane is spaced from line of rear edge by distance making 1.25-0.7 the width of blade measured between rear edge of blade and line defined by slots of teeth interspaces, with blade width being within the range of 0.1-0.45 of its free length.

EFFECT: increased stability of sawing blade, improved sawing quality, and reduced weight of fastening unit.
