SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of sawing solid materials. The saw module is comprised of a saw blade (6) with teeth (7), inter-tooth kerfs (8) and a rear edge, fixed between two attachment units (1) intended for a hinged connection with the driving (13) and driven (18) shafts, the rotation axes (12) and (17) whereof are parallel to each other, with an equivalent displacement of the hinge axis of each attachment unit relative to the rotation axis of the corresponding shaft (e). The saw blade is installed so that the axis (10) of the lower hinge (14) is located, relative to the line of the centre of gravity of the cross-section of the load-bearing structure of the blade, at a distance of the sum of 0.5…0.75 of the width of the blade and the displacement of the hinge axis of each attachment unit relative to the rotation axis of the corresponding shaft (e). The axis (4) of the upper hinge (2) is located, relative to the line of the centre of gravity of the cross-section of the load-bearing structure of the blade, at a distance of the sum of the displacement of the hinge axis of each attachment unit relative to the rotation axis of the corresponding shaft (e) and 0.1…0.4 of the width of said blade, measured between the rear edge of said blade and the line of the inter-tooth kerfs (21). The width of the blade is within the range of 0.1…0.45 of the free length thereof.

EFFECT: productivity and operational life of the saw module are increased, the power consumption of the saw module is reduced, the thickness unevenness of the produced lumber is reduced.
