FIELD: sawing of hard materials, mainly of wood. SUBSTANCE: the device for sawing has a saw block comprising at least one saw module, the arrangement of the center of mass of a half of which formed by a half of the saw blade and the respective attachment point hinge- joined to the drive or driven shaft is such that the dynamic balance of the saw module is ensured. The saw blade is so installed that the line of the tooth space is shifted relative to the line connecting the hinge pins and lying within the mentioned blade at a distance equal to 0.25 to 0.75 of the blade width, measured between the trailing edge of the blade and the line of the tooth space. The prevented effect of shape changing of the saw blade ensures the adjustable force of tension of the saw blade. EFFECT: provided dynamic balance of the block on the whole and excluded necessity of additional means of synchronization of rotation of the shafts. 12 cl, 6 dwg
