FIELD: railway transport; brake control systems.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method is based on measuring wheelset rotational speed, car acceleration, preset and current pressure in brake pneumatic cylinders, calculating peripheral speeds and accelerations of wheelsets, car speed, moment of intolerable skidding of wheelsets as to maximum tolerable slipping and maximum tolerable wheelset braking acceleration. Proposed device for counteracting skidding of wheelsets of rail vehicle has car speed calculating unit, maximum tolerable slipping speed calculating unit whose input is coupled with output of car speed calculating unit, two calculating units of corrections to maximum tolerable slipping speed and calculating and control device. Outputs of car speed calculating unit are connected with outputs of car deceleration calculating unit, maximum angular speed selection unit and movement condition forming unit, and its output is connected with fourths inputs of wheelset slipping calculating units. Input of maximum tolerable slipping speed calculating unit it coupled with output of car speed calculating unit. Input of first correction calculating unit is connected with output of maximum tolerable slipping speed calculating unit, inputs of second correction calculating unit are coupled with outputs of car speed calculating unit and maximum tolerable speed calculating unit, inputs of calculating and control device are connected with outputs of differentiators, wheelset slipping speed calculating units, maximum tolerable slipping speed calculating unit, correction calculating units, brake pneumatic cylinders air pressure pickups and moment conditions signal forming unit. Outputs of calculating and control device are connected with inputs of electropneumatic valves.

EFFECT: provision of maximum tolerable protection of wheelset toll surface as to conditions of braking, braking force and minimization of braking time and braking distance.
