FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: braking cylinder pressure adapting comprises determining instantaneous skidding between rail vehicle wheel and rail and setting skidding between rail vehicle wheel and rail. Designed pressure of braking cylinder is determined in compliance with deviation of actual skidding from preset designed skidding. Actual braking cylinder pressure is measured and adapted to certain preset magnitude so that aforesaid deviation reduces to zero or minimum. In braking, various magnitudes are set to preset skidding. Regulation system comprises skidding regulator and braking cylinder pressure regulator. Proposed method comprises determining braking state factors of reference rail vehicle and that of another rail vehicle and calculating transfer coefficient. It consists in that, in stable braking on flat and straight rail, axial speed is continuously measured along with wheel pair braking cylinder pressure.
EFFECT: reduced braking distance.
