METHOD OF FORMING PROTECTIVE COAT (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC C04B41/52 

FIELD: construction engineering; forming protective coats in porous building materials and structures subjected to action of water.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes cleaning of surface following by wetting and priming by sealant possessing permeating property which is diluted with water; then, surface thus treated is dried and main layer of this sealant is applied; after cleaning, surface is heated and is wetted with water at addition of sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride and permeating sealant at ratio of 100:0.7:0.7:1, respectively; prior to application of main layer of sealant, layer of cement mortar is applied and is dried, after which conditions for growth of crystals in coat are formed over entire surface. To this end, surface is regularly heated during 3-4 weeks and is wetted with water at addition of sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride and permeating sealant or is covered with steam-and-watertight material or layer. According to second version, use is made of fabric reinforcing of coat.

EFFECT: enhanced durability and strength of coat.
