FIELD: machine engineering, namely operations of mechanical working of parts such as cone and shaped rollers, precision bearing races.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of deforming blank by means of three rolls mounted in mutually parallel axes. Each blank is worked successively at several transitions by several sets of working rolls having variable curvature radius of working surface. Mandrel is placed inside blank; mandrel has shaped profile corresponding to each transition. At working process mandrel is displaced in radial direction by means of supporting rolls. All rolls have grooves and they are driven to simultaneous rotation in such a way that to provide coinciding of grooves of each set of rolls at end of each working cycle. Mandrel onto which blanks are arranged after each transition is moved in roll grooves till matching of each blank with next set of rolls. Then mandrel is returned to initial position.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of working, enlarged manufacturing possibilities of method.
