FIELD: machine engineering, namely manufacture of bimetallic articles with anti-friction layer of steel-bronze system.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing in technological bath flux and bronze in quantity sufficient for surfacing; stepwise heating blank till melting bronze while sustaining target temperature for heating the whole cross section of blank; after melting bronze and soaking for short time period, slowly cooling blank till steel quenching temperature; then sharply cooling blank in oil. Blank is heated and cooled till steel quenching temperature in protection-reduction medium. Technological cavity of bath has wall thickness providing its decarbonization through all thickness.
EFFECT: improved quality, lowered labor consumption at making bimetallic articles.
