FIELD: cast article production, namely manufacture of bimetallic sleeves.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of producing blank; charging onto it powdered bronze mixed with flux; placing it in centering apparatus; rotating blank; heating its outer surface till temperature of bronze melting while rotating blank at speed 2.6 m/s; increasing rotation speed of blank till 4.5 m/s; subjecting blank to isothermal soaking for period no more than 30 s; performing stepwise cooling of outer surface of blank, at first at rate 20 -25°/s till temperature 850°C and then at rate 10°/s till 500°C; subjecting blank to air cooling.
EFFECT: possibility for producing high quality surfaced layers of high-lead bronzes.
