FIELD: drilling-explosive operations in wells with hazard of explosion of methane-air mixtures and coal dust.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to method, mass of inertia-inducing substance Gy is selected based on formula Gy=NB[(R/2)2×L]g, grams, where: NB - number of blast hole charges in face, R - distance between blast hole chares, L - depth of inertization zone, g - specific fire-suppressing ability of inertia-inducing substance. Time delay (TMIN) between moment of activation of inertization device and moment of activation of blast hole charges is supposed to be not less than TMIN=L/V, seconds, where V - speed of expansion of front of cloud of sprayed inertia-inducing substance.
EFFECT: increased reliability of inertization of face space from explosion of methane-air mixtures during drilling-explosive operations.
