FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises convective heat exchange in water flowing over the outer surfaces of the fire tube and combustion products of flame torch of the torch plant through the pipes directly over the zone of the torch flame. The water to be heated is supplied to the top of the torch plant. The device comprises furnace, heat exchanger mounted above the furnace and made of water chamber with branch pipes for supplying and discharging water and fire tubes passing through the space of the water chamber. The open ends of the tubes enter the furnace space. The furnace is made of a hollow housing with open bottom and is provided with the unit for connecting it with the outlet section of the torch plant. The unit is made of a bearing ring that embraces the shaft of the torch plant and bearing stands arranged over periphery of the ring and connecting the ring with the furnace housing from the side of the open bottom.
