FIELD: textile industry, in particular, textile materials technology.
SUBSTANCE: method involves testing samples cut at angles of o deg, 15 deg, 30 deg, 45 deg, 60 deg, 75 deg, 90 deg relative to longitudinal direction by drawing samples out; after drawing out and ironing processes performed during wet-heat processing, measuring changes in length of samples; plotting polar diagrams of ironing and drawing out of textile material depending on sample cutting directions and determining forming coefficient from formula: Kf=(Sdr+Sir)/Sa, where Kf is forming coefficient of textile material; Sdr is area of figure defined by textile material drawing-out curve, initial size curve and coordinate axes (cm2); Sir is area of figure defined by ironing curve, initial size curve and coordinate axes (cm2); Sa is area of figure defined by initial size curve and coordinate axes (cm2).
EFFECT: provision for obtaining of complex factor of forming capability of textile materials reached under conditions corresponding to wet-heat processing conditions under which clothing parts are formed using ironing and drawing-out procedures.
