FIELD: physics; measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to analysis methods of physical-mechanical properties of textile materials. Round sample is prepared, mounted and fixed on solid surface presented with a sphere. Sample radius is calculated. Sample surface is folded in a plane to form front projection of the sample and evaluate thereto data of upper and lower points of the sphere and boundary points. Central angle of sphere window is calculated. Formability is indicated by central angle of sphere window. Formability value is calculated by mathematical expression.
EFFECT: possibility to predict performance of textile material on solid surface without forced external loading.
