FIELD: holographic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device has optical system composed of light source, lens and video-hologram made of cells disposed regularly in form of array or other form. There is at least one opening adjusted in phase and/or amplitude for cell. Viewing window is localized in plane of view, corresponding to plane of direct of reverse Fourier transform video-hologram. Window provided specific interval of periodicity of restoration inform of Fourier image of video-hologram. Restored three-dimensional picture can be watched through the window. Length of viewing window doesn't exceed interval of periodicity in plane of reverse Fourier image, and three-dimensional picture appears in form of Fresnel image of video hologram.
EFFECT: widened range of propagation in real time by means of controlled displays.
